Yana Hudzan

Ukraine

She came to her style and technique in painting through iconography, which is characterized by symbolism and inner light, expressiveness of composition, image as a sign. In her works Yana combines realistic elements with planar, transparent with deaf, gray parts. The iconographic expressiveness of the images is based on this contrast. Works in mixed media: oil, acrylic, aerosol, gesso. Main subject in her practice is to capture associative images that describe personal or social phenomena. As the author herself says, art is the only place where she can be completely sincere.  The works are in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain, Ireland and the Netherlands.
